About me

At 6:00 on a weekday morning, our home is quiet.

Christopher is making coffee on our Breville — still our favourite shared investment. Our ginger cat is eating breakfast. The birds are awake. We read a page together from Angus Buchan's journal before he heads out to cycle, and I change into my workout clothes.

It is in these steady mornings that I feel most grounded.

This space was born from that rhythm.

I live in Stellenbosch, surrounded by vineyards - but this platform is not just about wine.

It is about living well, and with intention.

Food that gathers people.
Movement that keeps us strong.
Marriage that is sacred.
Work that is meaningful.
A home that feels like sanctuary.

My career began in the cellar.

After studying viticulture and oenology, I was preparing to work in New Zealand as an assistant winemaker. A near-fatal car accident in 2016 altered that path completely.

Instead of making wine, I began building brands - working across luxury hospitality, international markets, and strategic positioning.

I also spent two formative years living and working in the Kruger National Park as a safari sommelier. That season shaped me in ways I did not expect. Living among wildlife, witnessing the scale of conservation work, and understanding the discipline of land stewardship gave me a deeper respect for landscape - not just as something beautiful, but as something to protect.

Nature has always been my compass. Horses have drawn me back again recently. I have returned to riding, rediscovering the quiet discipline and freedom that comes from being close to animals and open land.

At its core, my work has always been about refinement - relationships, systems, experiences, and the land that sustains them.

Today, I live and work in the Cape Winelands, where harvest seasons shape our calendar and the rhythm of the vineyard shapes our days.

This journal is my creative outlet. And my evolution.

I am newly married.
Redefining success.
Rediscovering health and strength.

Here you’ll find reflections on modern South African country living - recipes, harvest notes, travel, gatherings, and thoughts on building a life with depth, not noise.

Welcome.
