The art of the ‘Aperitivo’ - Morgenster Estate embraces summer

With the Italian heritage behind the brand, and awe-inspiring views - thanks to the unrivalled setting at the slopes of the Helderberg mountains, Morgenster Estate proudly launches their new ‘Aperitivo’ offering.

In Italian culture, an aperitivo is a pre-dinner drink; a cultural ritual set for the late afternoon or early evening, between work and dinner. In etymology we trace the word back to the Latin ‘aperire’ which loosely translates to ‘open’ the stomach before dining.

Perfecting the art of La Dolce Vita and true to their proud roots, the family-run estate has launched this new offering set for Thursday, Friday and Saturdays where Italian-inspired light bites and unrivalled mountains views offer the perfect setting to enjoy their award-winning wine collection.

Morgenster Estate has seen a need to present locals and guests from afar with the opportunity to soak in the unrivalled surrounds; with later than usual wine farm opening times in the area and a view they believe too good not share in time for summer sunsets.

Visitors can opt to soak in the contemporary interiors of the Tasting Room, or spill out onto the terrace area to enjoy the last of the sunshine, overlooking the dam and beautiful nature all around.

Aperitivo offerings are served as a seasonal and small selection of Italian-inspired light bites, at R65 per person.

Best accompanied by your choice of Morgenster Estate wines, served by bottles or by glass.

A perfect recipe for post-5pm happiness.
